There was something about glass for Gaye. Luscious colours. The fascinating play of light on transparent, translucent and opaque forms of glass. Gaye watched a demonstration of lampworking glass and was immediately hooked. It tapped into her love of hand making attractive items. Gaye was already immersed in pottery, yarn, and bead weaving so it was natural to set up a glass studio as well. Gaye works with simple forms and finds joy in creating harmonious sets of colours that speak to her of eye-catching jewellery. Gaye made these pieces, so they are lovely to wear, durable and use quality components to enhance the delicious quality of the glass. All colourful and all handmade in Tasmania.
