Matthew Hayne

Before turning his attention to glass, Matthew Hayne had an fulfilling career as a researcher and diplomat, with a PhD in earth sciences. Matt has been captivated by glassblowing from an early age. As an emerging artist, Matt enjoys working with and gaining mentorship from the many brilliant career glass blowers around him at the Canberra Glass Works. His creativity reflects aesthetic values of clean form, underpinned by a complex constructing process.
